Can’t work out how to log into your WordPress administration area? This basic tutorial shows you how to access your WordPress site’s login page.
How To Access Your WordPress Login Page – Quick Tutorial
If you are a new website owner, learning your way around your site can sometimes be a little confusing.
If your website has been created using WordPress, then one of the main things you need to learn is how to access your WordPress administration section, as all of your website’s administrative tasks are run from this area.
Depending on the theme used on your website, you may be able to log in directly from your home page.
Look for a link that says “WP-Dashboard” or “Login”. On some websites, this link can be found in the Meta section of your website’s sidebar area …
If the link displays on the theme, all you have to do is click on it …
You will be taken to the WordPress login page. Enter your username and password, and then click on the Log In button to access your WP Administration …
Note: The “login” link may not be visible in some WordPress themes. If you cannot find your WordPress login link on your website, then you will need to type your WordPress admin login URL into your browser.
Your WordPress admin login URL typically will look like this:
- http://yourdomain.com/wp-login.php (if WordPress is installed in the root directory of your domain)
- http://www.yourdomain.com/subfolder/wp-login.php (if WordPress is installed in a subfolder of your domain, e.g. “blog”)
- You can access the login section using this URL: http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin
Note: If you cannot see the WordPress login page when you type in one of the above URLs into your browser, make sure that the location of your WordPress installation is correct.
If you’ve tried all of the above methods and the WordPress login box still doesn’t come up on your screen, then you may need assistance or support troubleshooting the issue.
